Today I want to give a shout out to a skilled and charming Bauhaus member, Lis Beyer.
It was her portrait that really caught my eye and made rethink and narrowing in on my love for this period of time and its artistic output. Especially from its female artisans.
Ah, Bauhaus. Formal. Play!
You can read more about her biographical information here. She studied at the Bauhaus under Kandinsky and Klee. Worked in the weaving workshop and later became a Master Weaver.
I’ll leave you with a few pictures. I just think she is quite a charmer. A skilled and thoughtful designer. Just love her.
Note: in group photo, she is the one in the middle, descending the stairs, with the little white collar. super chic!
