I was listening to the Stuff You Missed in History Podcast, featuring the life of Frida Kahlo yesterday. And of course it got me to thinking. About her Life. Her Art.
Not to make light. Not at all. Frida knew how to put an outfit together. I have always admired her sense of style. Whether austere, folkloric or gender-bending—she seemed to know just the look she was going for. And to hell with what everyone else thought about it.
I am especially smitten with her sense of color, texture and pattern. Her use of it inspires me so.
